Yes. Right now I'm trying to get a new laptop and phone. This is so hard.

I missed the first part last week, so I put the two parts together.

1. When you're home alone, do you still close the door when you use the restroom?


2. If you have to go grocery shopping, would you rather go alone or with someone? I'm usually alone so grocery shopping is no different.

3. It's your best friends birthday, would you buy them a gift even though they didn't buy you one for yours Yeah, I guess. If my friends and I don't get each other anything, it's because we're broke.

4. You win the lottery. Lump sum or small payments over a period of time? Why? Payments over time so I don't have to work for a salary.

30. What was your reaction to the president supporting gay marriage? My government is too prejudiced against LGBT to support anything the community wants. When a cruise ship with Sir Elton John was coming by Tobago, people were angry cause he's gay. THIS IS SO MUCH CRAP.

32. You have 3 months left to live, what is your bucket list? Go to Australia, tour Europe, sky dive, go zip lining, roll in a field of flowers in Ireland, stay in a castle for a few nights, see Muse, Arcade Fire and 30 Seconds to Mars live in concert, get married... I haven't put too much thought into this OBVIOUSLY.

34. Ever use a tanning bed? No, I live in the tropics. That would be stupid.

1. What is your most annoying habit?
Talking too much without using a filter so I come across as very mean. I probably am, but whatever.

Someone who is unafraid to take risks to succeed.

Dude. Chick flicks, duh. I see images when I close my eyes at night. There isn't any need to make them gross and freaky.

4. What is the most outrageous thing you have done in the back row of the movies?
I never sit in the back row; I prefer the middle to either end. We used to make out. Oh those were the days when things were new...

5. When have you lied to get a job?
I don't lie very well. I omit things.

6. What one thing is on your list to do before you hit 30, 40, 50 or whatever significant birthday is next?
I would like to get married and have kids before 30 but I'm 26 and I don't think I'm getting married in the near future. Now I would like to see Europe (30), get a PhD in molecular biology and live wherever I can find work with my donor kids(40).

7. Classic or modern films and why?
Classic mostly, but that's because I like the period dramas based on books. I have most of the stuff that the BBC made. I like some of the modern stuff as well because the graphics are better. The 3D thing gives me a headache so I don't care for it that much.

8. If you were a vampire who would be the first person you would bite?

9. If you had the power to make one thing better, what would it be?
I would try to make it so that all my students understand and appreciate Chemistry... or I could just make myself win a 200M lottery abroad. Whichever works.

Being interesting enough that people are interested in what you have to say and leave comments. Regular updates also help.

11. What was the inspiration that brought your blog to the blogosphere?
I thought it would be a good way to practice my web designing skills. That was before blogger made everything so easy. I also wanted my opinions to matter to someone other than myself.

12. What easily ticks you off (puts you in a bad mood quickly)?
When I am speaking and mid-sentence, the person I was speaking to interrupts to ask something totally off topic because they were not listening. This happens A LOT.

13. How many children do you have?
Does my dog count?

14. Is there anything you have ever regretted writing on your blog?
I'll probably regret some of the comments I wrote in this entry but no one in my RL will read it so it doesn't matter.

15. What’s your favorite blog post you have written this year so far?
I liked that I put the pictures of the modular origami up. I haven't written much this year, sadly.

I don't update nearly enough, so it never made sense to enter any.

17. If you could be anyone else for the day, who would you choose and why?
Gosh, I don't know. Everyone has their demons so I'd hate to choose someone who seems happy and then end up fighting their 874637 issues all day.

18. If you could time travel to any period of history what era would you visit?
History has been notably unkind to young women of mixed race with no musical talent. I'll take the future any time. I would like to be in a Jane Austen novel though, because the girl always gets the guy.

Oh dear. Um... I prefer flawless skin. I keep thinking of Dark Angel and how it sucked being altered sometimes.

Relate to? I don't know. I like Ariel even though we're not alike. I like that she was hoping for something, and waiting for her life to begin.

I tolerate it, I don't necessarily enjoy it.

I always wanted to own and manage a bridal store, or an artisan place.

Quality allows me to have two awesome friends.

Engineering. I got some exposure to it in my last year of undergrad. There is so way I could bring myself to care about certain parts of it enough to do it well.

NYC.

Australia, and going alone will do.

Saturday 9: How Long

1. Have your discovered a betrayal? If so, did you ask, “How long has THIS been going on”?
Sort of I guess. I was in HS and I used to talk to my school friends online. One told me all sorts of things about one of our guy friends and our friend. Then I found out it was a joke. I told my friend about the joke and she said they all knew about it all along. I am petty enough that I stopped talking to the lot of them.

2. What is the longest line you've ever stood in? Would you do it again?
Um, the Dr. Doom ride line at Universal. I was there for over an hour. Would I do it again? Probably not. Not because of the line, but the ride freaked the heck out of me. If it was longer, I would have definitely hurled my ice cream.

3. Someone has hung a sign around your neck, and you have to wear it all day long. What does it say?
NERD.

4. As the Christmas season approaches, what song is it that you just can't wait to hear?
The entire Snowed In album. That reminds me to put it on my iPod.

5. What Christmas song do you dread to hear?
I'm not bothered by most Christmas songs. I even like the hymns. But if Lady Gaga does something, I'd probably hate that.

6. How often do you read the last chapter of a book first?
Never.

7. Do you have a favorite movie that you just love to see each year during the holidays?
Home Alone. The Grinch Who Stole Christmas - the cartoon version. The Nightmare Before Christmas. There's a movie with little bugs that light up, and another with a troll that turns to an elf. I <3 those.

8. Do you enjoy winter in the area that you live?
Well seeing as there is no winter, it's not too shabby.

9. At holiday I think we all show more kindness. In your opinion, is this a “concept” that has value (like money or other tangible things) or does it exist as simply emotion? Why?
I don't think it makes sense to think of others only at this time of year. Folks are still sad, lonely and lacking essentials the rest of the year. I think the kindness that is shown at this time is mainly emotional - the person doing the giving is feeling kind now.

Yes.

43. When was the last time you wanted to scream?
Friday. I gave the students EVERYTHING that was needed to write the lab and they had so many questions, I almost told them that if I wanted to write the lab for them I would have (and I never would) but they have to use their brains at some point.

Yes.

45. Have you ever thought that cell phones are too obtrusive?
I think that people BBMing all day is hella annoying when they don't have said phones on silent.

At the end of it, I hope. I hope it starts soon too. Things haven't gotten pretty yet.

There are lots of things. I don't do anything I don't want to for very long. When I get tired of it, I change my direction. I figure it makes for a life of continued learning.

Well Trinidad is small. Everyone knows everyone else by at least two people. I met an old HS acquaintance last week and she was with a coworker. I recognised the coworker but didn't know where. He said he knows my cousin and hangs out by him a lot so he sees me quite often. I don't talk to my cousin so I don't notice his friends. And he is cousins with this girl who used to freakishly copy my sister in HS. The acquaintance and I went to school with said scary cousin and her brother. It's confusing, I know.

Sleeping. Or reading fantasy stories.

Not at my workplace. On campus, yes.

There are lots of people in my life that I would be better off without.

Yes, but it's really not my business so I never asked.

A girl I used to hang out with the first two years in HS. She wasn't particularly nice to me, but neither of us had much in common with anyone else in the class. BUT there was a stupid argument over a movie lime and she just stopped talking to me altogether. I made other friends who were much nicer. I certainly don't miss her.

6. Have you ever washed an iPod or mp3 player in the washing machine?
Oh thank goodness no, I'd die. I have washed money many times though.

7. Have you ever screamed / yelled angrily at a boss?
I told my boss a few days ago to please talk to some children outside the door in an exasperated tone (cause I was trying to get them to move for a long time and they wouldn't move) and she was like, "Are you talking to me like that?"
